Day 271 - Sleeping Beauties

When the girls are asleep I find it the best time for a spot of relaxing. Currently when I am enjoying my cup of tea and possibly a treat before bed, I am usually found playing the Song Pop App on my iPhone. This collage fitted in well with todays photo theme of love/hate. I certainly love bedtime, while I am pretty sure some days the girls hate it - one day, they might come to love it!

Day 263 - Underneath

It is amazing how quickly Ava falls asleep. We can kiss her goodnight, tuck her in, walk out, put pyjamas on and she'll be asleep. Amazingly the shenanigans that Olivia gets up to before she falls asleep do not wake her up - nor does she stir from underneath the blankets for a few hours.

Day 212 - With Sleep, Comes Calm.

Some days I feel like two tornadoes hit our house in the afternoon. With swimming lessons on a Monday afternoon, it is a real rush to get them showered, fed and in bed all while they are still relatively happy. Tonight, calm came in the form of Olivia asleep. Once they are both asleep, Olivia is always the last to fall asleep, I always feel a sense of calm and do the things I need to do before going to bed myself.

I just love this photo.

Day 8 - A day of rest

Today was a day of rest for us all after a very unsettled night last night.

Yesterday we gave the Dummy Fairy all the dummies in our house and began, or at least attempted to begin, sleeping without the aid of a dummy. The fairy was nice enough to leave the girls a little present and a letter from Tinkerbell. Still, there has been no day sleeping at our place and a very late night last night. The last time I looked at the clock last night it was 1:45am with a very overtired Ava finally asleep. So a day playing around the house and watching a movie this afternoon was just what the sleep doctor ordered, second only to a nap of course.

They say a change of routine takes 3 days. That means by at least tomorrow night we will be experts. Right? I am certainly hoping so.
