Day 269 - Madie

Today's theme for Photo a day was frame. While enjoying a delicious lunch at Helen's house, I did observe some frames that would have been fun to use. Instead when I went to pick up Dad for dinner, I had a little brain wave and took a photo of my neice Madison framing her beautiful big eyes. I am quite happy with this image, captures Madison very well I believe.

Day 102 - Quality Aunty Time

Today I took Austin, Andrew and Madison out to lunch and the movies to spend some quality time with them. We went to APK in Woden for lunch followed by watching 'Pirates! Band of Misfits' at the movies. The kids seemed to enjoy the movie - I wasn't too sure, and could have had a nap half way through. To finish the day together we went and had a hot chocolate and milkshakes with Poppy.

Hopefully next time there will be a more interesting movie to keep me entertained as well.

Day 71 - Happy Birthday Madison

Today we celebrated Madison's 5th birthday. We gathered at Jenny's place for finger food, a sausage sizzle dinner and some delicious cake! It was my first ever Dolly Varden cake and I think I did a pretty good job! As soon as the girls saw it, their eyes lit up - I guess I will be making 2 of these in May! It seems we all had a wonderful time - we were all exhausted by the time we came home.

Happy birthday Madison!

Day 31 - The first day

Today was Madison's first day at school today. After a rocky weekend of both her and Jenny having a few tears, she settled in quite nicely. She absolutely loves her teacher and even went home and asked Jenny very excitedly 'Is Mrs Bruce going to be my teacher every day?' I love that she is so excited to be at school. Let's hope this excitement continues for a long time to come.

Wow, Jen our little big girl is growing up. Thank goodness we still have my big little girls to keep us busy.
