Day 244 - It Takes Two - Day 5

Day 5 - Freezing cold rain and wind didn't even stop us enjoying a very light hearted moment. Thanks ladies, it has been a very fun week!

Day 3 saw hot pink pants to warm the gloomy day we had today with a little splash of colour!

Day 2 of the fashion stakes, saw beautiful blue jeans matched with classic black - looking good ladies!

Day 240 - It Takes Two

Today at work Cathryn and Katie came to work wearing pretty much the exact same thing. Quite a giggle really, I don't think they realised they'd cause such a stir, this trend is now going to continue throughout the week. Can't wait to see the colour combos!

Day 239 - Family Sunday

As per usual it was a beautiful Sunday when we were catching up with the beloved Simpson and Stubbs clans. There is always trampoline fun, tree climbing and of course, far too much food to sit and enjoy along with the fabulous company.

Day 238 - Road Trip

Today Shane, Dad and I went on a road trip to watch the Sydney Swans play Hawthorn at the SCG. Dad hasn't been to an AFL game this year so we thought why not take him. It is quite difficult to get a photo of both Shane and myself where we are both smiling. It wasn't a happy ending for us Swan's fans unfortunately - oh well, next time!

Day 237 - Path

This is our very leafy path out the front of our house. It takes you around to the side gate. As you can probably tell, this path doesn't get used an awful lot, but I really should try and get out there to tidy it up a little bit to make it more enticing!

Day 236 - Pair

What a crazy pair I have! Ava was busily eating the whole strawberry that Took gave them on the way out of the door at daycare today. Olivia as you can see, ate it so quickly she was ready for a beautiful smile on our walk out of daycare and up the hill to our home.

Day 235 - Home

This is the entrance to my home - complete with sand filled shoes on the shelves that my mum purchased to put plants on - which as you can see has not actually happened yet! Lucky for Olivia and Ava there is plenty of room for sand filled shoes!

Day 234 - Cool

Tonight I enjoyed a celebratory glass of cool, crisp wine. It isn't often I have a drink during the week, but I found out this afternoon that I got the position that I interviewed for yesterday! Very exciting times ahead!

Day 233 - Today

Today I had a job interview for a job at Jerrabomberra Public School - so I suited up which included wearing my lovely Diana Ferrari black heels. Interviews are a completely nerve wrecking time I am so glad it is over.

Day 232 - A Beautiful Moment

We spent an afternoon together having lots of fun and laughter today, and even though the girls bicker a fair amount of the time, it is capturing these beautiful sibling moments that just melt my heart. I just think that Olivia and Ava are incredibly lucky to be growing up with their best friend.

Day 231 - Playdough

I like to think of myself as a hands on mum - maybe not as often as I'd like, however spending an afternoon rolling, moulding, smoothing and recreating playdough with the girls was very relaxing. I certainly don't get the playdough out as often as the girls would like... it is holidays soon, maybe I will endeavour to do more then.

Day 230 - Triple Bath time Fun

Tonight we had a very long and over due catch up with the Agius family. While we were there the three gorgeous kids had a wonderful time in a bubble bath together. It was lovely being able to sit and chat happily together after enjoying a delicious meal together. Really can't wait for the next one - now to just find the time before the newest member of the Agius family joins us.

Day 229 - Dinner Shenanigans

Dinner at our house some nights feels like a circus. Tonight all the girls wanted to do was to cuddle throughout dinner and sing songs while they ate. Surprisingly they did manage to eat all of their dinner amongst such shenanigans.

Day 228 - Olivia

Olivia's smiles are often either forced or so wide she ends up with the biggest grin ever. Tonight after her shower - she was quite willing to sit and smile beautifully before bed. Wednesday's are the middle of daycare week and usually she is a little grumpy and tired - happily tonight was the complete opposite.

Day 227 - Beautiful Beading

This afternoon we got out our threading boxes out and made these beautiful necklaces which Ava is proudly wearing here. It kept them very busy and entertained while they created interesting patterns with the fruit and animals we had in our beading kit.

Day 226 - Simple

Today's Photo of the Day subject was Simple. There is certainly nothing simple about raising two beautifully independent children, but the love and bond that they share and will continue to share as they grow up is simply beautiful.

Day 225 - Spoon

Those of you who know my children will see the complete irony in this image. My girls who hate animals - cats especially, fight over this spoon! It is officially Olivia's spoon, but sometimes Ava sneaks in breakfast with the cats. Really I guess I should try and find a second one... maybe one day.

Day 224 - Girls Weekend

We are having the first ever girl's weekend together. It has started off nicely with dinner with Aunty Jenny, a catch up with Jenny's bestie Kimberly and some shopping today. We'll be heading to the AFL to cheer on the Swans tonight and finish off with a whirlwind round of visits to Aunties, who luckily all live within a 20 minute drive from each other.

It has been nice to spend this time together - even nicer that I got a bed to myself!

Day 223 - Ring

Tonight we went to the Pullman Hotel at Sydney Olympic Park and had a very delicious dinner with our Aunty Jenny - who has been a friend of mum's for as long as I can remember. She had the most amazing ring on which I absolutely loved. She bought it from Dinosaur Designs - who have the most beautiful things (see their website here)

It has been a very long time since I have seen Aunty Jen and it was lovely to catch up and talk all things that interest me - technology, shopping - in particular online shopping, and photos.

Day 222 - Double Digits!

Today is Austin's 10th birthday - fittingly we went to celebrate with dinner and cake to sing happy birthday to him. I am pretty sure I can remember the day Austin was born - what a gorgeous boy who started life with a little fun and continues to bring laughter to us all.

Happy birthday little matie, hope you had a wonderful day.

Day 221 - Glasses

I have many pairs of glasses. I have had many since getting my first pair in Year 9. The glasses in today's photo have been one of my favourite pairs, unfortunately they have begun pinching my nose a little - so I have gone and chosen another pair. The good thing is that my prescription has not changed, which means when I feel like a bit of a change, I can still wear them.

Day 220 - 8 o'clock

8 o'clock brings us much peace. The girls are usually in bed and Ava is usually fast asleep and snoring within seconds of us turning the light out and saying goodnight!

Day 219 - Writing

Enjoyed a meeting tonight at Koko Black with Amelia about organising the 2013 Australian Multiple Birth National Convention. There is a vast variety of delicious chocolatey goodness on the menu, it was really hard to choose.

Day 218 - Dressing Down at Googong

This afternoon we took my Aunty out for a drive to Googong. When I told the girls we were going for a drive and to get their coat, they came back with their slippers and dressing gowns. Very cute indeed. They played together in their dressing gowns. I just love afternoons like this where they are happily playing together and just being very cute.

Day 217 - Display houses

Today we went out to look at display houses for ideas for our house planning. This house was in Wright and the front living area where this photo was taken was one of my favourite rooms of the house. I quite liked the couch too - however, I am not too sure I want a white couch.

Day 216 - Olivia and Cooper

A beautiful moment captured. Olivia and Ava both love going over to Sarah's house to see their little friend Cooper. It is a fight to see how gets to cuddle Cooper first. Today they requested a photo. Olivia gave Cooper 1 extra big cuddle before passing him back to me for extra cuddles. It is amazing to see how quickly time flies - my girls were once Cooper's age, where did that time go?

Day 215 - One

Ava is always happy to pose for photos. Today's photo was one. This photo is in many ways indeed 1... 1 of my children, 1 finger, 1 smile, 1 drink bottle even just 1 very gorgeous girl of mine.

Day 214 - Arty Ava

Nearly every day the girls bring home some kind of drawing or artwork which they have done at school. Ava is always very proud and walks around with her art until it is time for shower and dinner - just so it doesn't get wet or dirty. She did get some help with this drawing, but still, art is always cute to look at.
